Document.Bot Docs
Document.Bot is a local-first AI workspace for document-heavy work. It connects to a folder of PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, Markdown, and notes, makes that workspace searchable, and helps you inspect sources before acting on AI suggestions.
The product is designed for people who need more than a generic chatbot: researchers, technical writers, engineers, compliance teams, and other document-heavy workers who need source-backed answers and reviewable changes.

What Document.Bot Helps With
- Search across local document folders.
- Ask questions about PDFs, DOCX files, spreadsheets, Markdown, and notes.
- Open the original source behind an answer.
- Draft document updates with source context.
- Review AI-assisted work before accepting it.
- Use online, local, or customer-hosted AI providers depending on your setup.
Current Focus
Document.Bot is early beta software. The strongest workflows today are source-backed search, document inspection, local workspace setup, and controlled AI assistance around real files. The product is not a compliance certification system, a document management system replacement, or a tool for blind autonomous rewriting.
Use these docs to get started, understand the core workflows, and decide whether the current beta fits your document work.
Example Use Cases
The same core workflow can apply across different document-heavy teams:
- aviation and aerospace teams reviewing technical guidance, manuals, and compliance evidence
- legal teams comparing contract drafts against playbooks and approved clause libraries
- medical device teams checking risk controls, usability evidence, and regulatory documentation
These examples are not separate products. They are early use-case stories for the same local-first workspace engine.
