Install Document.Bot

Document.Bot is a desktop app. Install it on the computer where you want to work with your document folders.

Download The App

Download the app from:

https://document.bot/

Choose the option for your operating system.

• On macOS, download the macOS installer from the website.
• On Windows, use the Windows link on the website. It opens the Microsoft Store listing, where you install Document.Bot.

macOS

1. Download the macOS installer.
2. Open the downloaded file.
3. Move Document.Bot to your Applications folder if prompted.
4. Open Document.Bot.
5. Follow the first-run setup.

If macOS warns that the app was downloaded from the internet, confirm that you downloaded it from the official Document.Bot website.

Windows

1. Open the Document.Bot website.
2. Choose the Windows option.
3. Install Document.Bot from the Microsoft Store listing that opens.
4. Open Document.Bot.
5. Follow the first-run setup.

Windows Store builds are installed and updated through the Microsoft Store. Do not use a manually downloaded Windows installer unless Document.Bot support gives you a specific test build.

First Launch

On first launch, Document.Bot may ask you to:

• accept required legal documents
• sign in to your Document.Bot account
• activate the current device
• choose an AI setup
• choose a demo workspace or your own folder

The account step uses browser sign-in. After sign-in succeeds, Document.Bot should return focus to the desktop app. If your browser stays open, return to the app manually.

Updating The App

Document.Bot can show update availability inside the app when a newer build is available. On macOS, the app may offer an in-app update or open a browser download page. On Windows Store builds, the app sends you to the Microsoft Store for updates. If the Store link cannot open, the app may open the web listing instead.

If a beta build is expired or close to expiring, follow the update prompt before continuing important work.
