Ask Your First Source-Backed Question
The best first prompt asks Document.Bot to find sources before drafting a conclusion.
Start With A Specific Task
Use a prompt like:
Find the source files that explain the decision we need to make. Summarize the evidence and list the files I should inspect before drafting a brief.
If you are using a policy, compliance, research, or proposal folder, replace “decision” with the specific topic you care about.
Ask For Sources
Good prompts include source instructions:
Show the source files and relevant sections before giving me recommendations.
Group the answer by source document and separate facts from open questions.
Use only files in this workspace. If the evidence is missing, say what is missing.
Inspect The Original Files
After Document.Bot answers:
- Open the cited source files.
- Check the relevant page, section, row, or paragraph.
- Compare the answer with the original document.
- Ask a follow-up question if the source does not support the answer.
Indexed text is a discovery layer. The original document remains the source of truth.
