App Menus And Shortcuts
Document.Bot includes desktop app controls for panels, tabs, viewers, search, settings, updates, and feedback.
App Shell
The main workspace has:
- left panel for workspace files and navigation
- center area for open files and special views
- right panel for AI chat and related panels
- titlebar controls for common app actions
You can hide, show, or resize side panels to focus on the current task.
Tabs
Files and special views open as tabs. Tabs can show active state, unsaved changes, and close actions.
If a tab has unsaved changes, Document.Bot should ask whether to save, discard, or cancel before closing.
Native Menus
Native menu commands can route to the active viewer or app command. Depending on the current tab, menu actions may support:
- find in file
- save
- close tab
- panel visibility
- history navigation
- settings
- feedback
- update actions
- performance diagnostics in development or beta contexts
Quick File Open
Quick file open lets keyboard users search workspace file names and open a file without manually expanding folders.
Use it when you know the file name or part of the path.

The app includes access to:
- product and version information
- third-party notices
- feedback flows
- update status
